If the doctor recommends a colonoscopy, go ahead and do it. If there is a doubt, don't leave any stone unturned, and many people don't know that colonic polyps – if a small polyp is growing – can become cancerous or can be precancerous.
So it's really important to remove that colon polyp, and that's the gold standard.
