EMRs needs to do more than just handle the coding and billing aspects. It should assist physicians in their daily practice by streamlining the process and reducing the administrative burden. This allows physicians to focus on what truly matters - providing the best possible care for their patients.
One way to achieve this is by having EMR systems that are intuitive and user-friendly. This would allow physicians to easily access patient information, manage codes and updates, and even communicate with other healthcare team members.
In short, EMRs should be designed to help physicians focus on patient care, not on the administrative tasks.
