Fragmentation is the key factor that renders the current healthcare system utterly inaccessible for both patients and doctors. Let's face it, if a doctor is content with their assured salary and benefits, as you proposed, and prefers to take the convenient route, that's perfectly fine. Personally, I believe in the principles of a free market. Everyone should be able to make their own choices based on what they believe is best for their family and themselves. However, it's important to remember that complaining about how you're treated becomes invalid when you've consciously made a decision.
Consider the situation two decades ago. The only options available were either to enter concierge medicine and charge exorbitant prices or to navigate the limited alternatives. However, times have changed, and now we have a wider range of choices at our disposal.
