Excluding ABPS Certified Emergency Medicine Doctors: A Mistake in the Midst of the COVID #shorts

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges to the healthcare system, and emergency departments have been at the forefront of this crisis. Unfortunately, some of the hardest-hit cities, such as New York City and Detroit, have made a puzzling decision that is detrimental to patient care. Despite the overwhelming demand for medical help, they have decided to exclude board-certified emergency medicine doctors who are certified by the American Board of Physicians Specialties (ABPS) from practicing in their emergency rooms.
