Facing medical school without insurance changed my perspective

Navigating medical challenges without insurance is a reality I've faced personally.

During medical school, there was a time when I couldn't afford necessary care.

That experience gave me a unique perspective that I value deeply.

It helps me connect on a human level with patients, seeing them as equals rather than from a standpoint of social hierarchy.

When I introduce myself by my first name, it's because I want to break down those barriers.

I'm knowledgeable, but not wealthy, and I strive to meet everyone eye to eye.

How do you think shared experiences shape our interactions?
