I understand that many of you may be experiencing burnout, a desire for more significant impact, or a longing for greater diversity in your daily pursuits. You yearn to see your efforts extend beyond the routine, to witness a deeper impact that might elude you amidst the daily grind, even though I acknowledge that you are making a difference in your everyday lives.

I want to wholeheartedly encourage you to consider writing and publication as a powerful means to manifest these aspirations. It can be the remedy for what ails you, provided you grant it the opportunity to work its magic. Additionally, I'd like to emphasize that you are likely your harshest critic, your most formidable adversary, and your primary stumbling block.

In my field, I've observed numerous individuals who never publish throughout their entire careers, even while occupying esteemed faculty positions. The truth is, most of them have never given it a genuine try. The threshold for entry into the world of publishing may be more attainable than you perceive, but it necessitates granting yourself permission to embark on this journey.
