As a physician, diabetes was no stranger to me. It was part of my bread and butter, something I dealt with on a daily basis. So, when I was diagnosed with diabetes myself, I thought I knew what to expect.
But the truth is, it was a completely different experience as a patient. Suddenly, it wasn't just about numbers, carb counting, and activity. It was about the many facets of my life that came together to impact my diabetes management, from stress and sleep to my overall lifestyle.
This diagnosis brought me to a crashing halt, both personally and professionally. As someone who had a passion for diabetes wellness, I knew I needed to seek help. That's when I turned to life coaching.
Through life coaching, I was able to gain a new perspective on my diagnosis and learn valuable tools for managing my diabetes. I discovered ways to reduce stress, improve sleep, and make lifestyle changes that positively impacted my diabetes management.
Now, I use my experience to help others who are struggling with diabetes or other chronic conditions. I want to remind my fellow healthcare professionals that it's okay to seek help and that life coaching can be a valuable tool in managing chronic conditions. #diabetesmanagement #lifeafterdiagnosis #healthcareprofessionals #lifecoaching #chronicconditionmanagement
