A lot of personal statements tend to be very long. One of the pillars of what I wrote about in my article is to keep personal statements really short and sweet because don't forget that interviewers on an interview day, especially for residencies, are going through multiple applicants a day, so they're really having to quickly look at your application.
They're going to have to look at your CV. They're also going to skim through your personal statement, and I can guarantee that most people do not read it fully. So you want to keep the personal statement short and sweet.
