When it comes to organizational culture, actions speak louder than words. It's frustrating to see management who are disconnected from the day-to-day operations of the organization, holed up in their offices and out of touch with the staff, physicians, and patients. It's important for leaders to manage by walking around, to have a presence in the organization and to actively listen to the concerns and issues of those around them.
Far too often, I see longstanding issues that could easily be corrected, yet management seems unaware or uninterested. It's these ground-level issues that can have a significant impact on organizational culture, employee morale, and patient outcomes.
We need leaders who are engaged, who are present, and who are committed to creating a positive organizational culture. Leaders who lead by example, who actively listen to their employees and patients, and who are willing to make changes to improve the workplace. Let's work together to create organizations where everyone feels heard, valued, and supported. #OrganizationalCulture #Leadership #EmployeeEngagement
