Living in my car during med school: my untold story

Imagine having to choose between practice tests and a warm meal.

As a low-income student, I faced decisions that many of my friends couldn't even fathom.

Throughout undergrad, post-bac education, and the first two years of medical school, I juggled work and studies.

But during clinical education, time constraints forced me to stop working, and I couldn't afford housing.

I ended up living in my car, a stark contrast to my peers' experiences.

In this video, I reflect on those challenging times and the tough choices I had to make.

What would you have done in my situation?
