I couldn't help but notice the striking similarities between a life-changing diagnosis and a life-changing storm. Both can be incredibly difficult to navigate and can leave you feeling lost and alone. But just like how a storm can bring out the best in people and bring a community together, a life-changing diagnosis can do the same.
I believe that those who have survived a life-threatening storm, such as breast cancer, have a unique ability to help and support others who are also navigating a similar journey. They understand the struggles and hardships that come with it, and they know what it feels like to come out on the other side.
As someone who has survived a life-threatening situation, I want people to know that even though it may not be the same, anytime you come out of a life-threatening situation alive, you've won. It's a victory, and it's something to be proud of. We all have the ability to be a light for others who are going through the storm. And I hope that by sharing my story, I can be that light for someone else.
