Do you ever feel like you're constantly fighting to get the things you need? It's unbelievable! Some days it seems like everything is a battle. Take imaging, for example. They want to control every little detail, as if they're breathing down your neck. And don't even get me started on their outdated standards of care. When a groundbreaking cancer drug gets approved by the FDA, you'd think it would be readily available for patients who could benefit from it. But no, not with them. It takes months for them to catch up and update their guidelines, and even then, they're so inflexible.
It's like they have this checklist, and unless you can tick all the boxes, they won't budge. So you find yourself spending countless hours on the phone, explaining and providing evidence, just to make them understand. And even after all that effort, they still find an excuse like, "Sorry, no box to check." It's beyond frustrating, dealing with their sluggish guidelines and this rigid, thoughtless approach they have.
