As a physician, I have learned the importance of identifying areas that are not functioning optimally and stepping up as a leader to address them. While it can be uncomfortable to take on these leadership roles, it allows me to have a larger impact by helping not just one patient at a time, but groups of individuals.
However, I have also experienced a significant shift in my role as a physician, specifically in the way I write orders. There are various perspectives and layers to consider in these situations, and it can be challenging to determine the most effective approach.
