As physician leaders, I don't think there's any room for racism or antisemitism in our profession. I learned in medical school way back in the day, once one person said, “You may not like a patient, but you need to acknowledge it and move on and treat 'em like a patient.” Patients don't wanna be there.
They don't want to be on your angio table. They don't wanna be there getting that very minimum or that upper GI. So if you don't like a patient, move on. It's the same with racism and antisemitism. I don't think there's any place for that in medicine.
