Why being sad in a happy crowd is more than just sadness #shorts

Being surrounded by happiness while feeling sad can be especially challenging for one's mental health. The dissonance between how you're feeling and what you think you should be feeling can add an extra layer of suffering to the pain. For example, when a loved one dies, feeling sad is a normal response. However, if you're at a holiday party surrounded by happy people and you're feeling down, it can be even more difficult to cope.

It's important to remember that everyone experiences emotions differently and to not add unnecessary pressure to an already difficult situation. By acknowledging and accepting our emotions, we can work through them in a healthy and supportive way
