You may think that you have job security, that you will always be able to find work in this field. However, in reality, many factors can impact our job security, such as pandemics like COVID-19 or changes in facility administration. This can be a worrying thought, but it's important to acknowledge that it is a reality of our profession.
I believe it's important to be mindful of this and to always be prepared for the possibility of losing our jobs. This means staying up to date with the latest developments in our field, networking and building relationships, and having a plan in case of job loss. It's also important to remember that we are not alone in this, and that many of our colleagues are also facing the same challenges.
We must also speak up about our concerns and push for better job security in our field. By coming together, we can advocate for better protection for healthcare workers and ensure that we are not left vulnerable in times of crisis.
