Why writing and testing yourself is the key to effective studying #shorts

It turns out that highlighting and rereading are not the best methods for committing information to memory because they are not active. In fact, these methods can create an illusion of knowledge that is not entirely accurate. As we reread a section, it becomes easier and easier to read, which can make us feel like we know the material well.
